The community developments on Lake Martin are breathtaking and beautiful. Well planned communities and areas surrounding beautiful Lake Martin provide its residents with views, wildlife and some of the best neighbors you could find.

Lake Martin is located in Tallapoosa County, Elmore County and Coosa County in Alabama.  It is a 44,000 acre lake with oter 750 miles of wooded shoreline.  An artificial reservoir, Lake Marin was formed by the construciton of Martin Dam on the Tallapoosa River.  Originally known as  Cherokee Bluffs for the geological formation upon which it was built, the dam was renamed in 1936 in honor of Thomas Martin and the lake soon followed.

Lake Martin hosts many events throughout the year, including fishing tournaments and a giant fireworks show on the Fourth of July to celebrate Independence Day. Also there is the Alexander City Jazz Festival and beginning with the summer of 2009, Aquapalooza with Alan Jackson.  The area features several landmarks such as Kowliga Bridge, Willow Point Country Club with a golf course, many marinas, but perhaps the most recognized landmark on the lake is Chimney Rock,  a large rock formation that resembles a chimney.  Also known as the Acapulco Rock, the spot is visited by thousands of boaters yearly, who park in frong of "The Rock" to watch people climb up the 60 feet structure and jump off into the water.
